***THIS EVENT UNFORTUNATELY NEEDS TO BE POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE***In this lute “show-and-tell”, Ronn traces the 800 year history of the lute – the most popular instrument of the Renaissance – and its evolution, its music, and its place in popular culture. The lute’s relation to the guitar, and ways to approach lute music on the modern guitar, will be considered. Ronn will also play musical examples from the Middle Ages through the present.
